Cancellation Policy:

As people working with and respecting the strength and power of Mother Nature, there will be times when Kaiteriteri Kayak will cancel a tour. There are generally three weather factors we take into consideration when making this discision. They are Wind, Swell and Visibility. In the case of high winds and the swell, it is a decision purely based on group safety. Cancelling a trip is Kaiteriteri Kayaks decision and it is made generally after we receive our latest weather forecast.

When we cancel a trip then we will refund the price paid for the trip in full.

If you however, decide to cancel your booking within 48hrs of the day of departure you will incur a 50% cancellation fee. Cancellation by you within 24hrs of day of departure or no-shows – no refund will be made and FULL PAYMENT WILL BE CHARGED.

All other cancellations prior to 48hrs incur a 10% administration/cancellation fee.

Note:
1. Kaiteriteri Kayaks reserves the right to cancel a client’s tour in the event of non-compliance with the terms and conditions Kaiteriteri Kayaks sea kayak rental briefing, or relevant rules and regulations governing the Kaiteriteri Bay and surrounding Coastline, its foreshore and adjoining waterways. In this situation, there is no refund.

2. Kaiteriteri Kayaks reserves the right to change the trip itineraries due to weather or unforeseen circumstances. Such a change will not allow the customer to cancel a trip without application of the cancellation policy.

The hirers’ responsibility ceases once Kaiteriteri Kayaks equipment has been loaded onto an approved water taxi or, where the kayak is paddled back to Kaiteriteri, loaded onto the kayak transporters.
