Trip Itinerary
Starts with kayaking from Marahau heading north to Watering Cove. We return back to Marahau by Aqua Taxi. You can expect the sea conditions to be generally calm as the sea breeze doesn’t normally kick in until later in the day. We also often see penguins at this early hour of the day.
Highlights include, paddling past the many beaches of the Astrolabe area in the southern Abel Tasman. At low tide there are literally dozens of different beaches in this area, which make for a great backdrop for our kayaking. At high tide there are some awesome caves and arches at Stillwell Bay to explore. We might also poke our noses into the lagoon at Appletree Bay and explore some coastline around Adele Island.
